Girly Post: OPI Ahoy Me Hearties!
My nail polish addiction may be getting worse! I'm still constantly looking for the next collection, and at $9 per bottle, this is getting to be an expensive addiction. Though it's still not quite as expensive as the anime figures I collect, lol.
Anyway, OPI is releasing a Pirates of the Caribbean themed nail polish collection in May. Apparently, another Pirates movie titled "On Stranger Tides" is being released. I could care less about the movie, but when I saw pictures of the nail polish collection I got super excited. The colors are unlike any I have in my current collection, probably due to the fact I tend to buy more shimmers and glitters, while this is a pastel creme collection. Also included with the six new pastel shades will be "OPI Silver Shatter", a metallic silver crackle polish. I have yet to buy any crackle polish so I'm thinking about giving this one a shot.
The colors I'm most excited about are "Mermaid's Tears" and "Stranger Tides". I may also pick up "Planks A Lot" (especially love the name of that one, haha) and "Sparrow Me The Drama". Gotta love the crazy names OPI gives their polishes. Reminds me of the time I sent my boyfriend into a Trade Secret to look for specific colors while I was at work. Me: "I'm looking for Tease-y Does It and Sparkle-icious" Boyfriend: "Is that seriously their names? I'm not asking them if they have that!", haha. He ended up buying them for me, though. <3

New hair color!
Buh-bye blonde! I went back to a red shade after about two years of plain blonde. BORING. My hair is changing with the seasons, lol. I'm quite pleased with the results. =]
Also, I finally got my hands on the nail lacquers from Mac's Venomous Villains collection, and I think I'm in love. They're so pretty!

Okay, let me start by saying I LOVE NAIL POLISH. Seriously, I'm always doing my research to get a peek at upcoming collections and colors. I recently found an article on the upcoming OPI Burlesque Collection, and I must say I've never been this excited about a collection before. Out of twelve polishes, there are ten that I feel like I MUST have! Just the glitters alone make me all giddy and excited.
November can't come soon enough! All the colors can be seen here at lipglossiping.com, and they are all gorgeous. =]

Okay, time for more make up talk. I'm really excited because I've finally found a mascara that doesn't get clumpy or flake out! Seriously, I have about 4 different tubes of mascara in my bathroom that just didn't make the cut. Now, my eyelashes suck hardcore. They're pretty lame and thin and just plain boring, so I really need a reliable mascara. Friday I paid a visit to Sephora and decided to pick up a tube of Benefit Bad Gal Lash, after reading the product reviews on the Sephora website. I must say this is the best mascara I've ever used! I've never been this happy with a mascara purchase in my life.

Girl Crush!!!
I've been really into female vocalists lately, which is strange. All my favorite bands are fronted by men! But lately I've been listening to mostly girls, and I think I've developed a girl crush. Ever heard of Marina and the Diamonds? This chick is AMAZING! I'm in love with her voice and she's absolutely gorgeous. MARINA!!! <3

So I finally saw Inception yesterday, wow. What a mindfuck. I also find myself with a slight crush on Joseph Gordon Levitt. WHEN DID HE GET SO SEXY?!
Another thing I find myself obsessed with these days is make up. Which is strange because I've never been much of a girly girl. But lately I've been blowing all my spare cash in Sephora. Just this week I was able to pick up the Urban Decay Vegan Palette and some new Sephora by OPI nail polish! OMG, that palette is so cute!!
The nail polish colors are pretty cute, too.
Other than that I've just been saving up money for AWA in September. Can't wait for our vacation!

see relatedSoooo, I know I mentioned that I was going to start sketching again. Well, yeah, about that. I've felt incredibly apprehensive about the whole thing. I had a pencil in my hand again and I was instantly filled with self doubt and fear. I'm so worried that I've let too much time pass and whatever skill it was I had in the past has completely faded away from lack of stimulation or something.
I remember when I was in high school I'd start to work on homework and get distracted because I'd think of something I wanted to sketch out. When I first moved out and I'd smoke with my roommates and then draw all manner of crazy shit. Sketching was just something that came so naturally. I'm worried that it'll take time for me to reach that point again.Or will this be like riding a bike, where it's something I'll just always know how to do?
Hmm, I guess I'll just have to go for it and try not to judge myself so much. There's not much else going on in my world. Just planning things for the future, like getting my next tattoo in July and vacation with Dustin in September. The future is looking pretty awesome, actually. =]

I've been completely neglecting this Xanga account. Well, I never really have anything important to write about and I've been preoccupied with other things. Tomorrow I'm buying all the supplies I need to begin sketching again. I'm feeling inspired lately, thanks to encouragement from Dustin. Maybe I'll start posting some of my work so this blog will actually have some purpose for once.

My friend Debbie wants me to be her gym buddy so I'll probably start working out with her soon. The weather has been so nice this past week, time to get in beach shape!

see relatedThis month just seems to be flying by! I can't believe March is coming close to an end, it feels like this whole year is passing quickly. Wasn't it January only yesterday? Damn.
Well I can't complain much because they say time flies when you're having fun, and I've been having a blast lately. My birthday was fantastic! I got to spend time with my family and then went out to Sahara with Dustin and a few friends. St. Patrick's Day was alright, but it could have been better. I ended up at my friend Steven's party, which turned out to be a total sausage fest. Then they started setting up the beer bong table, so we decided to make an exit.
*shudders at the thought of the sound a ping pong ball makes bouncing off a Solo cup*
Anyway, we got our new tv and completely rearranged the living room. I think our apartment looks so much nicer now. I just wish our cat would stop knocking things off the shelves. >(
I found out today that The Flaming Lips are playing in St. Augustine this April! That's going to be an amazing show, I hope I can make it. Especially since I haven't gone to a concert in over a year. =/ Well, that's really all that's going on with me. =]
